Director of Career Development Sandra Ihrig of Orlando , Fla. , teaches new sales counselors the art of selling death care products and services.

“I’ve seen every aspect of selling,” Director of Career Development Sandra Ihrig said. “And it’s given me an appreciation for what families go through when they are prepared and when they are not prepared to deal with death.”

Knowing the reality of the business, Ihrig of Orlando, Fla., is determined to make the job easier for new sales counselors.

As a former preneed sales counselor, family service counselor and subteam preneed team manager at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park, Fla., and sales director at Chapel Hill in Orlando, Ihrig draws from her passion for preneed sales to conduct orientation and in-class training sessions twice a month for all new family service and community counselors.
